BRINGING THE SUBTLE TASTE OF JAPAN TO LOCAL SHORES AND ABROAD

Matsuri Japanese Food Court was established in the year 2016 and brings to Malaysian shores, authentic cuisines from the Land of the Rising Sun. Our culinary standards are upheld steadfastly by our chefs trained in Japanese cuisine with the aid of his personally trained local workforce. The quality of our food exemplifies the Japanese care for detail and is run based upon Japanese cooking methodologies to ensure only the finest creations make it’s way onto your tables. Matsuri Japanese Food Court caters to the middle-income group and currently has a seating capacity of about 126 patrons.

Expansion plans into the exclusive high-end Japanese cuisine market is underway within Malaysia and outwards to international markets abroad.

A BACKGROUND ON THE SIGNIFICANCE OF JAPAN’S FOOD CULTURE

Washoku, which is Japanese cuisine with a culture has its own unique place in the world. It was added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list as part of the “Traditional Dietary Cultures of the Japanese”. Japanese cuisine is prepared with seasonal ingredients and arranged tastefully on the dish which it is served. One characteristics of Japanese cuisine is in its use of dashi broth to produce umami, which is the basic flavor following sweetness, pungency, sourness, saltiness and bitterness.
